Anthology Pitches

From February 10 - March 2, Human/kind is opening for topical anthology pitches!
CLOSED!

We are looking for editors and writers who desire editing experience to create a small team to curate an anthology collection for  print and/or e-publication through Human/Kind Press.

With politics as they are and with publishing flooded with majority voices, there are stories we need to hear but they are being quieted by those with bigger platforms. Which topics need to be discussed? Which stories do you want to hear and lift up? We ask you to consider these questions and come up with a proposal for an anthology on a current topic.

Submission calls may be limited to specific minority/marginalized demographics to highlight various intersections within the proposed topic. Editors would take submissions, curate, and edit works, then the collections would be laid out and published by Human/Kind Press. Depending on need, our EIC could help with sequencing, getting submission spreadsheets setup, etc.

We can only choose 1-3 proposals, depending on the scope due to workload and funding. Please send your best fleshed-out ideas! We are not afraid of the tough topics. Please bring it!

Email Grix at humankindjournal@gmail.com with "Anthology Pitch" as the subject. Please attach the details of your vision in a doc/x. Please also include short bios of the team members involved so we can get to know you a bit.

We will close this call early if we have an overwhelming response, so please submit soon!
