Our sparrows, both residents and the neighbours they call over, make me glow in the morning! :-)
But I like how I can read the monostich/monoku as these two parts:
fading my body into the morning
a sword inside
This really is an arresting image. I wish she wasn't sick but thriving, but a great phrase.
