I've followed your work here in H/K, and more broadly as well.
I've tried to nail what it is about your work that stuns me.
Your work is self-exploration, operating in vulnerability.
The honesty of it opens the reader to a parallel self-criticism, but always with grace.
Thank you so much for your kind comments - I am truly touched. Ultimately we are all vulnerable to greater or lesser extents. Perhaps dealing with that knowledge honestly makes us less so. I hope that's the case.
All my best,
'Staring into waves' for me has an undertone of 'trying' to deal with mental health or emotional problems, and reminds me of bad experiences in lovely places like beaches, so quite poignant for me.
Thanks Mark - I hope to leave these poems open to interpretation and accessible through different perspectives. The human experience can be endured or enjoyed (and both) but I hope to use the haiku tradition to address the whole panoply of life experience.
All the best
